STEM FOUNDATION INDIA

There is no reason for education to be a privilege of few. With over 80% of the jobs in future requiring some form of STEM education, training young minds to take up STEM is vital. STEM education requires a lot of infrastructure and funds which for a country like India is sparse. When the country is still grappling with economic challenges, poor infrastructure and lack of resources result in poor training in STEM fields and limited primary STEM education. Addressing these gaps will not only create the much needed jobs, it will also boost the innovation sector in India.

As a part of Mooshika, STEM Foundation, Bangalore we want to do our part by a)Actively engaging in STEM education at the grass roots level. b) providing the expected skill-sets to graduates in STEM so they can better transition to Research and Development Industry sectors. For more information on how STEM foundation is engaging in educating young India, please go to STEM Foundations website.

FUNDRAISING

To support STEM Foundation India, I would like to make a series of drawings and prints of incredible women in STEM from India available for purchase coming new year. The fund raised through the sales of artwork will go towards building infrastructure at Mooshika Activity center. The current infrastructure includes an auditorium, a small library of donated books and a small movie screening room. With your help, we are confident that we can inspire more young minds to take STEM.
